Dr Les Higgins has had a long involvement in bushwalking and trekking. He is a pioneering member and now an honorary life member of Yarrawood Bushwalking Club. He brings to his bushwalking a keen interest in physical geography and nature conservation. His current writing projects are concerned with the psychological benefits of bushwalking and the relationship between Nature and mental and spiritual wellbeing.
Tony Rodd is an eminent botanical consultant who has co-authored two horticultural books and contributed to a number of reference books including the Australian Encyclopaedia. He is a member the Yarrawood Bushwalking Club.
Members of the Yarrawood Bushwalking Club, in addition to the authors, had a big hand in the production of the book.
This involvement is just one indicator of the club’s commitment to helping people join the ranks of bushwalkers.
