Horizontal Gel Units

Harvard's horizontal gel units are highly robust and easy to use. Gels may be poured directly in a removable UV-transparent tray for easy gel handling. A safety lid prevents access to live components.

Mini Horizontal Gel Units

Designed for routine rapid electrophoresis, and ideal for plasmid preps and PCR reactions.

Cast gels in the removable tray or an external casting unit
Two sizes: gel dimensions 60 x 75 mm, or 100 x 115 mm
Supplied with gel casting tray and two 1 mm x 8 sample combs.

Midi & Maxi Gel Units for Nucleic Acids

These units are designed for analytical and preparative studies of nucleic acids. Four comb positions allow screening of 112 (midi) or 160 (maxi) samples per gel.

Removable UV transparent gel casting tray
Two sizes: gel dimensions 130 x 150 mm, or 200 x 220 mm
Buffer recirculation ports
Large buffer volume: 900 ml (midi) or 3000 ml (maxi)

Maxi-Plus Gel Unit for PCR Products

These units are designed for analytical and preparative studies of PCR Products. Twelve comb positions allow screening of up to 624 samples per gel.

A mini gel unit, using minimum volumes of running buffer and gel.
