Sutter Lambda-LS Xenon Lamp

A stand-alone Xenon Arc Lamp and power supply, compatible with most modern microscopes,

  • Xenon bulb is 175W (most standard microscope lamps are 75W)
  • Pre-aligned bulb with parabolic mirror
  • Choice of bulbs: ozone producing (down to 200 nm) or ozone free (down to 340 nm)
  • C-mount threaded optical port for direct coupling
  • Optional liquid light guide (~70% transmission) for UV delivery
  • Lamp life 1000 hrs (expected)
  • Integrated hour meter
  • Equipped with cold mirror to reduce IR output

Sutter DG-4 Wavelength Switcher

The DG-4 is a combined Xenon Arc lamp and high speed wavelength switcher, ideal for fast ion imaging where image ratios at different excitation wavelengths are required at high frame rates.

  • Built-in 175W ozone-free Xenon lamp
  • Uses up to 4 standard (25mm diameter) interference filters
  • Beam is switched between filters in less than 1.2 ms
  • Allows video-rate ratio imaging (depending on camera hardware), or
  • Allows up to 300 ratios per second (with a suitable camera!)
  • Liquid light guide provides vibration isolation from microscope
  • Integral shuttering and neutral density filtering
  • Control by keypad, RS-232, parallel port or TTL/video synch pulse
  • Compatible with SimplePCI imaging software

Sutter Lambda 10-2

The Lambda 10-2 is a microprocessor controlled, high speed filter wheel. Its impressive speed coupled with exceptionally smooth operation make the Lambda 10-2 ideal for research applications involving fluorescence microscopy, ratio imaging, spectrophotometry, visual physiology, or any application requiring rapid and accurate aperture positioning.

  • Uses standard 25 mm diameter interference filters (a 32 mm version is available)
  • May be fitted as excitation filter or emission filter on most microscopes
  • Direct connection adaptors available, or uses optional liquid light guide
  • Switching time between adjacent filters is 55 ms
  • Optional integral shutter
  • Controller operates two wheels
  • Control by keypad, RS-232, or parallel port
  • Compatible with SimplePCI imaging software

Sutter Lambda 10-C

The Lambda 10-C features the same stepper-motor driven wheel used in the Lambda 10-2 above, but in a more economical package using a different controller, and is ideal for low to medium frame-rate imaging applications requiring only a single wheel.

  • Uses standard 25 mm diameter interference filters
  • All wheel components and shutters are interchangeable with the Lambda 10-2
  • Switching time between adjacent filters is 90 ms with two filters loaded
  • Optional integral shutter
  • Control by keypad, RS-232, or parallel port
  • Compatible with SimplePCI imaging software
