Laser Doppler Probes

For Moor Instruments DRT4 and moorLAB

There are a wide range of optical probes avaliable for use with the DRT4 and the moorLAB laser Doppler perfusion monitors. Probes include skin surface probes, endoscope probes, needle probes and single fibre implantable probes.

Standard Right Angle

A plastic disk (8mm in diameter, 7mm high) providing right angle delivery and collection of light. Supplied with a probe holder that attaches the the skin with double sided adhesive rings.

Standard Plastic Straight Probes

A plastic cylinder (6mm in diameter, 30mm long). Supplied with a probe holder that attaches the the skin with double sided adhesive rings.

Standard Stainless Steel Probes

A hypodermic stainless steel tube of external diameter 1.5mm. The length is usually 30mm or 80mm.

Needle Probes

A hypodermic stainless steel tube of external diameter 0.8mm. Length is normally 30mm or 80mm. Also avaliable is the P4s that uses a 26 gauge needle, external diameter 0.46mm.

Angled Stainless Steel Probes

Hypodermic stainless steel tubing with angled tip providing right angled delivery for ease of access to some measurements sites.

Endoscope Probes

These probes have flexible nylon sleeving suitable for endoscope measurements. The standard length for each probe is 3m. The P6c offers right angle delivery via a glass prism epoxied within the sleeving.

Large Area Probes

The large area probe uses eight collecting fibres positioned in a ring of diameter 2mm around the central light delivery fibre.

Prism Probes

A small prism epoxied to the optical fibre provides right angled delivery of light. The prism is held in a disc or hemisphere of 6mm diamter and 2.5 mm height.

Multi Emmitter/Detector Integrating Probes

The P9 is a multiple emitter/multiple collector probe. The probe has eight emmitting and eight collecting fibres equally spaced in a circle of 4mm diameter. Light is collected from eight tissue sites and integrated into one signal. Plastic cylinder length is 20mm, diamter 8mm.

Master Probe

This is the master connection between the monitor and single fibre detachable probes. It consisits of 1.5m long 1.7mm diameter pvc sleeving containing the transmitting and receiving fibres. Probes attach to the master via an optical inline coupler.

Single fibre Detachable Probes

These slave probes can be disconnected from the master and left in position in between measurments. Options available are .......

Flat Probes

Made from reinforced flexible silicon sheeting (60 x 30 x 0.5mm), these probes can be sutured to the tissue. The rubber sheeting can be cut to size to suit the application.

Dental Probe

The Dental probe has a short stainless steel tip, 10mm long, that can be positioned in a silicon rubber mould holder on the teeth.
