Drug Screening and Drug Discovery

More and more groups in Australia and New Zealand are enquiring about screening systems - systems to investigate functional and cell morphological effects of a large number of compounds, with a high throughput.

We supply and support several different screening systems, which you will find on the following pages.

FDSS 6000	The FDSS 6000 (Fluorescence Drug Screening System), new from Hamamatsu, is an imaging based plate reader for cellular assays, assay development and high throughput screening. It is a modular, upgradable, fully integrated system.
Roboocyte	The Roboocyte, from Multi-Channel Systems, is an automated system for injecting cDNA/mRNA into Xenopus oocytes, subsequent TEVC recording, and perfusion paradigms - providing 24 hr operation without supervision.
QT-Screen	QT-Screen, from Multi-Channel Systems, is the worlds first fully automated system for high throughput QT prolongation screening, using cultured cardiac myocytes.

Drug evaluators may also be interested in Ethovision, which provides automatic tracking and analysis of animal behaviour (such as rodents in mazes).
