Metal Wires
We offer a wide range of insulated and non-insulated wires from A-M Systems.
Please refer to the notes on pricing at the top of this page.
Teflon-coated Platinum/Iridium An alloy of 90% Platinum and 10% Iridium, giving increased strength compared to pure Platinum. Spooled lengths of 3 m. |
Teflon-coated Platinum Pure (99.99%) Platinum wire, with a quadruple Teflon coating. Spooled lengths of 3 m. |
Teflon-coated Gold Pure (99.99%) Gold wire, with a quadruple Teflon coating. Softer than platinum. Spooled lengths of 3 m. |
Teflon-coated Silver Quadruple Teflon-coated high purity silver wire (99.99%). Spooled lengths of 7.6 m. |
Teflon-coated Tungsten Tungsten wire offers the greatest strength and stiffness in Teflon-coated wires. Spooled lengths of 7.6 m. |
Teflon-coated Stainless Steel Quadruple-coated stainless steel wire, either single- or multiple-stranded. Spooled lengths of 30 m (single stranded) and 7.6 m (multi-stranded). Hard wire is stiffer and retains its shape (eg. for penetrating tissue), but is more brittle; annealed is softer and more flexible. |

Formvar-insulated Nichrome Spooled lengths of 150 m. |
Isonel-insulated Platinum Isonel is a high-temperature polyester enamel, which bonds tightly to the platinum and also facilitates embedding of the wire in other plastic resins. Spooled lengths of 3 m. |
Platinum Wire High purity platinum (99.99%). Spooled lengths of 3 m. |
Platinum-Iridium Wire Wire of 90% platinum hardened & strengthened with 10% iridium. Spooled lengths of 3 m. |
Silver Wire High purity silver (99.99%). Spooled lengths of 7.6 m. |
Stainless Steel Wire Annealed type 316 stainless steel. Spooled lengths of 30 m. |
